Richard Parton
Richard Parton graduated with a Bachelor of Music with Honors in Performance from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Richard then continued to study performance and left the conservatoire with a Post Graduate Certificate in Performance. Richard has performed world wide, in venues such as the Queens Hall and Albert Hall in London for the BBC Proms, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow Concert Halls, the British Embassy in Berlin, St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, The Lake Placid Institute in New York and has toured countries such as Canada, Belgium, Sweeden, Romania, France, China, America and many more.

Richard was a member of the “LIVE MUSIC NOW!” scheme in association with the BBC Children in Need running workshops for a variety of groups including: special needs schools catering for emotional and behavioural difficulties, moderate to servere learning difficulties and severe to profound to multiple learning difficulties. Richard has also performed workshops for geriatric units as well as mainstream educational establishments. During his time working as an Instrumental Instructor with Fife Council Richard has been teaching all age groups from infants right through to adults. Richard has worked in Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools as well as Stevenson College in Edinburgh, a College of Further Education.
Richard has also been involved with Kodaly workshops in Fife and developing special needs workshops throughout the region.
